Position: Medic (EMT-I or EMT-P)
Description: This position may be part-time or full-time. The Medic field provider is responsible for the direction of patient care while operating non-emergency and/or emergency modalities as a rescue unit in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and directives.
The Medic leads, directs, and participates in the delivery of basic and advanced life support in a pre-hospital or facility situation. When operating as attendant-in-charge, the Medic provides direction to other crew members on patient care and medical issues. The Medic delivers emergency medical care to patients as indicated by medical control or patient care protocols.
Requirements:
- Current Virginia EMT-I or EMT-P Certification
- Current CPR, Healthcare Provider Issue
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current PALS/PEPP Certification
- Current EVOC Certification
- BTLS/ITSL or PHTLS preferred
- Valid Virginia Drivers License with no negative points
- Pass a criminal background check
Position: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)
Description: This position may be part-time or full-time. The EMT field provider is responsible for the direction of patient care while operating in non-emergency and/or emergency modalities as a rescue unit in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and directives.
The EMT leads, directs, and participates in the delivery of basic life support and participates in the delivery of advanced life support in a pre-hospital or facility situation. When operating as attendant-in-charge, the EMT provides direction to other crew members on patient care and medical issues. The EMT delivers emergency medical care to patients as indicated by medical control or patient care protocols.
Requirements:
- Current Virginia EMT-B Certification
- Current CPR, Healthcare Provider Issue
- Current EVOC Certification
- Valid Virginia Drivers License with no negative points
- Pass a criminal background check
Position: Wheelchair Van Driver
Description: This position may be part-time or full-time. The Wheelchair Van Driver provides patient transportation to/from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
Requirements:
- Certified EVOC Operator
- Current CPR, Healthcare Provider Issue
- Valid Virginia Drivers License with no negative points
- Minimum age requirement of twenty one
- U.S. Citizen or legal alien
- Pass a criminal background check
Position: Communications Officer
Description: This position may be part-time or full-time. The Communications Officer receives incoming calls from health care facilities, individuals, and staff, and enters calls into the computer aided dispatch system. He/she schedules patient transports and dispatches appropriate EMS ambulance crews and/or wheelchair van drivers.
Preferred Prerequisites:
Proficient computer experience, professional phone skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, ability to work in stressful situations
Position: Billing and Collections Specialist
Description: The position may be part-time or full-time. Billing Specialists receive and organize EMS transport reports and input the data into a customized EMS billing software system. The billing staff is responsible for seeing all claims from “start to finish” in the billing process.
Preferred Prerequisites:
Strong organizational skills, professional phone skills, and proficient computer experience.
